Why are the interview question so important?

With so many problems with illegal immigration out there, marriage fraud is a common concern among many immigration authorities. Getting married in order to obtain a green card it’s considered fraud. This is why the interview questions get so much attention as they focus mainly on the relationship. They need to be sure that your relationship is legit and the true motives behind your green card are getting married and having a family.

Who attends the interview?

The visa beneficiary must attend the K-1 fiance visa interview together with the k-2 children. The United States sponsor doesn’t have to attend the interview. There are some embassies that may allow the sponsor accompany his or her fiance. You should check with your local embassy for any rules or guidelines they may have about the interview.

  • Where did you meet?
  • How long have you been together?
  • How much time have you spent in person?
