How Familia America can help during the COVID-19 pandemic

The team at Familia America is ready to assist you. Whether you need a consultation in person, over the phone, or a video consultation via the free Zoom.com app, we are set up to handle everything you need from start to finish. In fact, our team has worked this way for five years.

For clients who decide to come into our bilingual office, we prioritize keeping our office clean.  Also, there is a small number of people in our office at any time. Our team members are required to work from home if they have any illness.

During the consultation, we will give you a verbal and email estimate of costs. If you decide to hire us, we will email you the final contract. All you will have to do is accept and sign to get started.

Has the immigration process changed during the COVID-19 pandemic?

We want you to know that immigration still is full speed ahead. Very little has changed. In fact, you will likely have more time to do your application!

There could be some delays as far as appearing in court or appearing at USCIS or appearing for naturalization ceremonies. However, applications, fingerprinting, etc., are still business as usual.

How Familia America processes immigration applications

After we receive your signed contract, our team will email a questionnaire to complete and a list of documents. When we file your application, we do not need original documents, meaning you can take a picture and text the documents to us. You could fax or FedEx documents to us.

It seems like it would be a lot of work for our clients but is very simple. For example, you can take a picture of your birth certificate and if it is good, you could just text it to us.

Once we have a completed questionnaire and all required documents, we will prepare your application and send you a FedEx package where you can send your medical info, fingerprints, photographs, government filing fees, etc.

Finally, we will send the application to the government. The government sends a receipt to yourself and our team.

We have been doing this for over five years. During that time, we have created systems specifically to handle the challenges you are experiencing during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Are there any changes to immigrant travel restrictions due to the COVID-19 pandemic?

The United States government has suggested that U.S. citizens should not travel outside the country because they may be subjected to quarantine when they get to their country without notice. If you are here on a tourist visa or other type of visa, you may have to stay in the country.

Our team can help ensure your extension does not get denied by handling all the documentation needed for your extension.
